Dallas Logan is a commercial fashion and beauty photographer with over 30 years of experience who migrated from Cuba to the United States at a very young age.  His family originally settled in Florida and moved along the East Coast and eventually landed in New York.

His family was deeply into the arts and encouraged Dallas to do the same.  Finding that he had a knack and talent for singing, he auditioned for the “Fame” high school in New York City and was accepted, and during this time, always had a camera in his hand.  With no shortage of subjects, Dallas’ first photography “gig” was shooting actor headshots for his fellow schoolmates, and in his journey was introduced to his first mentor Rainer Hosch.  From there he’s gone on to assist such talents as Jill Greenberg, Marco Grob, and Vincent Peters just to name a few.

He was introduced to photography at a very young age by his uncle who was the reportage photographer of the family.  He is known for saying “once I saw my uncle agitate that piece of paper into a photograph, I was hooked.”

His journey has taken him around the globe to shoot for modeling agencies in New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Italy, Paris Australia, and South Africa.  He’s worked for various companies such as Revlon, Makari, Diesel, Ford, Saks Fifth Avenue, Target, Paul Mitchell, Superdry and photographed for magazines such as Vanity Fair, GQ, People, Bleu, Duzhe (China), Essence, Noise!, Krave, Kontrol, Professional Photographer Magazine, XEX, Page21, RollingOut Magazine, and Hollywood Weekly.  Currently, Dallas and his partner Dae Howerton produce and teach lighting seminars known as “Light Is Light”
